Why downtown Toronto patients choose LMC Footcare
Downtown life can put a lot of stress on your feet, and our team understands the common issues that come with it. At LMC Footcare, we look beyond the symptoms to understand what’s causing your discomfort and recommend treatment that fits your lifestyle.
- Heel pain from hard surfaces: Long hours walking on concrete and marble, combined with unsupportive shoes, can contribute to plantar fasciitis. We assess your foot mechanics to address the underlying cause.
- Forefoot pain from dress shoes: Narrow shoes and raised heels can put extra pressure on the ball of your foot. We can make low-profile custom orthotics designed to fit comfortably in dress shoes.
- Gym and studio-related foot conditions: Shared floors and change rooms can contribute to athlete’s foot, plantar warts, and fungal nails. Early assessment can help you get the right treatment sooner.

FAQs
Yes. Our downtown clinic is set up for short appointment windows, and an initial assessment usually runs 45 to 60 minutes. Booking online lets you pick a midday slot.
Sharp heel pain in the first steps of the morning is the classic sign of plantar fasciitis. The tissue along the arch tightens overnight and gets stretched suddenly when you stand. It responds well to treatment, and the sooner it is assessed, the shorter the recovery tends to be.
Plantar warts are viral and rarely clear on their own once established. In-clinic treatments such as cryotherapy, acid therapy or needling are far more effective than drugstore products, and usually need a short series of visits.
No referral is needed for an initial assessment. Check your benefit plan, since some insurers ask for one before reimbursing.
