Chiropodist and Footcare Clinic in Brampton
If you have diabetes, it’s important to have your feet checked by a specialist (Chiropodist) at least once a year. At LMC Footcare Brampton, our registered chiropodists provide comprehensive diabetic foot assessments, treat a wide range of foot and nail conditions, and create custom orthotics for patients across Brampton.
Many common foot problems can be prevented or managed with the right care. No referral is needed to book an appointment.

Insurance & referrals
You don’t need a referral to see a chiropodist at LMC Footcare Brampton; we accept all patients. OHIP doesn’t currently cover chiropody services. If you plan to buy orthotics from a Canadian Certified Pedorthist and submit the cost to your private insurance, your insurer may require a referral from your family doctor or nurse practitioner.
FAQs
No referral is needed for an initial assessment. Some insurance plans require one before they reimburse, so check your plan documents.

Plan for about 45 to 60 minutes. That covers history, a hands-on assessment and starting treatment where possible, which matters if you are travelling in from out of town.
At least once a year if you have no complications, and every three to six months if you have nerve damage, reduced circulation, foot deformity or a history of ulcers. A yearly diabetic foot screening is one of the most effective ways to help prevent serious complications.
