Our feet change as we get older. Nails can become thicker, skin can get dry and cracked, circulation may slow down, and even simple things like bending down to care for your feet can become difficult.
At LMC Footcare Etobicoke, regular medical foot care is a big part of what we do. Our registered chiropodists provide professional care to help keep your feet healthy and comfortable, and support your mobility and independence.
Our chiropodists assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of foot, nail and skin conditions,
No referral is needed to book an appointment.

FAQs
No. You can book an initial assessment directly with us. Some insurance plans ask for a referral before they reimburse, so it is worth a quick check of your policy first.
No. OHIP does not cover chiropody or podiatry visits. Most extended health benefit plans do cover chiropody as a paramedical service, and we give you the documentation you need to submit your claim.
Plan for about 45 to 60 minutes. That covers history, a hands-on assessment and starting treatment where possible.
Most patients on a maintenance schedule come every six to twelve weeks, depending on how fast their nails grow and whether they have callus or diabetes. We will recommend an interval after your first visit rather than putting you on a fixed plan.
Yes. Thickened nails are one of the most common reasons people come to see us. A chiropodist can safely reduce and shape them with proper instruments, comfortably, usually in a single appointment. We can also tell you whether the thickening is from fungus, trauma or age, because the treatment differs.
